Avnet Memec advances wireless solutions portfolio for Europe

Agreement with Taiwan’s apmComm secures range of highly miniaturised, competitively priced modules for future mobile innovations

 

Poing, Germany, January 10th, 2011

Avnet Memec has announced a pan-European distribution agreement with wireless System-in-Package (SiP) specialist apm Communication (apmComm) of Taiwan.  Under the agreement Avnet Memec will provide customers throughout the region with apmComm’s competitively priced, highly miniaturised modules for mobile applications.

The apmComm portfolio includes Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi™, GPS, RDS-TMC and GPS/RDS-TMC modules. The company has in-house competencies including proprietary Integrated Passive Device (IPD) technology and RF MMIC design capability, which enable it to deliver extremely compact, price-competitive and high-performing solutions.
