Avnet Memec, the highly specialised semiconductor distributor of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, announced today that Raffaele Giglio (38) has been appointed as Country Director Italy and Greece. He will be responsible for all sales activities in Italy and Greece. Raffaele is based at the Avnet Memec’s office in Cusano Milanino.

Raffaele joined Avnet Memec from ESCO in November 2006 (when Avnet acquired ESCO Italiana) as Technical Sales Manager for Italy and Greece. At ESCO Raffaele already held the position of Sales Director Italy and Greece. Previously he held the position of Account Manager Italy followed by the position of North-West Italy Area Sales Manager. He spent his earlier career years with Selet Sensor as Project Engineeer for Industrial Automation applications.
