ACS712/13 Low-Noise 2100 Vrms Hall-Effect Current Sensor

The Allegro ACS700-series of current sensors are unique solutions. Radically small packages with very low in-circuit resistance AND completely isolating the measuring circuit from the powerline, they represent reliability engineering at its best. By delivering an output voltage, derived from the supply voltage, in ratio to the measured current, it replaces the complete measurement chain, and can be used as a direct input to the Analog to Digital Convertor of the system MCU.

The new ACS712 Hall-effect current sensor provides reduced noise measured less than one third of the ACS704/ACS706. This sensor also includes an integrated shield, which effectively attenuates high dV/dt transients across the leadframe. The response time of the ACS712 is better than 2x that of the ACS704/6. Additionally, a filter pin has been added to further reduce output noise without the attenuation effects of an external RC filter.

A unidirectional version, ACS713, is also available.
