CS3511 - High Performance Stereo 10W Integrated Class-D Amplifier

Cirrus Logic’s new CS3511, an integrated 2x 10W Class-D audio amplification device with 1-bit Delta-Sigma architecture and TRUE Spread Spectrum modulation, provides a cost-effective solution with premium audio quality in today’s audio market.

With differentiating technology and superior performance, the CS3511 combines the benefits of digital amplification efficiency with the audio quality of the best analog systems:

  • Patented 1-bit Delta-Sigma architecture
  • Continuous feedback loops corrects inherent non-linearity of switching power MOSFETs
  • Continuous feedforward path improves stabilities at high frequency

With the abovementioned advantages, the CS3511 is ideal for various audio/video applications that require low to mid range power output levels and good analog/EMI performance (e.g. applications with AM/FM tuners). In comparison to competing half-bridge solutions, the two full bridges in the CS3511 amplifier will deliver far less pop sounds, better PSRR, better crosstalk performance, etc. For example in active speaker applications, the halved supply voltage made possible by the full bridge configuration, reduces the size and complexity of the power supply. Typical applications include PMP’s or Music Docking Stations, Active Speakers, Mini/Micro Shelf Systems and Clock Radios, Internet or HD Radios.
