Precision Voltage References Deliver Low Temperature Drift for Better Accuracy Over Time, Over Operating Conditions
For voltage supply systems that demand accuracy no matter the operating conditions, the Cirrus Logic VRE series of precision voltage references provides best in class performance for low temperature drift over time. Performance “at temperature” is enhanced further with low initial offsets, improved temperature coefficients and reduced thermal hysteresis. Cirrus Logic offers more than 25 models of off-the-shelf solutions, including several with full military temperature range qualification. With this level of quality and reliability, Cirrus Logic can eliminate design cycle headaches and speed time to market.
A complete family of devices is available, covering a range of supply voltages and reference output options (1.25V, 2.5V, 3V, 4.5V, 5V, 6V and 10V), and including some very unique feature sets, like positive/negative and dual outputs.
The VRE100/200 series are the highest performance and reliability parts, where the 300/3000/400/500 series are more aimed at the industrial and lower cost applications.
Highlighted here is the VRE100 Series Precision Voltage References, providing ultrastable +10 V (VRE100), -10 V (VRE101) and ±10 V (VRE102) outputs with ±1.0 mV initial accuracy and temperature coefficient as low as 1.0 ppm/°C over the full military temperature range. This improvement in accuracy is made possible by a unique, proprietary multipoint laser compensation technique.
Significant improvements have been made in other performance parameters as well, including initial accuracy, warm-up drift, line regulation, and long-term stability, making the VRE100 series the most accurate and stable 10 V reference available.
VRE100/101/102 devices are available in two operating temperature ranges, -25°C to +85°C and -55°C to +125°C, and two performance grades. All devices are packaged in 14-pin hermetic ceramic packages for maximum long-term stability. “M” versions are screened for high reliability and quality.
Superior stability, accuracy, and quality make these references ideal for precision applications such as A/D and D/A converters, high-accuracy test and measurement instrumentation, and transducer excitation.
