Coilcraft Announce New PWB Series Wideband RF Transformers
Avnet Memec are pleased to announce Coilcraft’s exciting new PWB series of wideband transformers recently introduced on their web site. The parts have tried and true performance, and are now offered in a new, more cost-effective package. This is a very significant upgrade of a proven winner and a nice example of ongoing product improvements by Coilcraft engineering.
Advantages
- The PWB series of wideband transformers are drop-in replacements for the more costly TTWB - recommended for new designs.
- The PWB series will fit on the same land pattern as the TTWB series - there is a slight increase in overall width and a slight decrease in height.
- The PWB series has a plastic housing instead of the ceramic shell of the TTWB, but the transformers inside are exactly the same, resulting in the same electrical performance specifications.
- The leads of the PWB series are less rigid than the TTWB, provide excellent coplanarity, and are able to withstand shock, vibration, and thermal stress.
- Designer's Kit C404 is available ex-stock from Avnet Memec
