The EFM®32 Gecko starter kit is a low-cost, full-feature demonstration kit that allows designers to evaluate the performance and features of the EFM32 Gecko microcontroller family.

The starter kit provides all hardware and software tools needed. The onboard USB interface is used both as a power supply and full-feature debugging solution, supporting industry standard software development tools. The EFM32 starter kit is supported by the energyAware™ software which enable designers to use the onboard peripherals.

Additionally, the EFM32 starter kit expansion header can be used to prototype many custom application designs in addition to the demonstration kit reference design modules.
