Energy Mode 2 - Deep Sleep mode: The EFM32 Tiny Gecko only consumes 1µA in a deep sleep while the real-time clock is running, Brown-out Detector, Power-on Reset and CPU and RAM retention are active.
Low Energy Sense (LESENSE): The LESENSE function block provides autonomous sensor monitoring of up to 16 external sensors in Deep Sleep mode. The supervision of a capacitive sense module can be performed with about 1.2µA. The CPU only wakes up if a trigger event happens. More examples are available for LC- or resistive sensing.
LCD Controller: The LCD controller is capable of driving a segmented LCD display with up to 8x20 segments. An animation feature can run custom animations on the LCD display without any CPU intervention. These functions can operate in Deep Sleep mode and consume about 1.5µA.
Low Energy UART (LEUART): The LEUART allows communication with the EFM32 in Deep Sleep Mode and consume only additional 150 nA at 9600Baud/s.
Peripheral Reflex System (PRS): The PRS operates in Deep Sleep Mode and enables peripheral units to trigger actions at other peripherals without waking up the CPU. For example: Timer triggered ADC sampling, GPIO triggered UART transmission, etc..
