Based on Marvell’s ARM-instruction set compliant, high-performance, custom-designed 88F6000 series system-on-chips (SoCs), the digital home family features multi-gigahertz-class processors that meet the performance demands of various network storage and media serving applications. The processors are optimized for I/O applications by integrating Marvell mixed-signal interfaces with a high-performance internal bus architecture. The unparalleled level of SoC integration includes a DDR2 memory controller, an internal 256KB L2-cache, a security engine, a USB 2.0 port that supports both host and device modes, a PCI Express port, two SATA 2.0 ports, two TDM interfaces, a 2-channel I2S interface, an MPEG-TS interface and two Gigabit Ethernet MAC ports with either RGMII or GMII interfaces. The wide array of supported interfaces enables easy-to-use storage expansion. Additional system expansion options include graphics, multimedia devices, home networking technologies such as MoCA, HPNA, HomePlug, Ethernet AVB, and emerging 802.11n wireless applications.
