Marvell release Optimum PCI Bridge Solution - low-cost, flexible bridge solution for PCI Express (PCIe) to PCI connectivity
The Marvell® 88SB2211 is a low-cost, flexible bridge solution for PCI Express (PCIe) to PCI connectivity. The 88SB211 is designed for embedded applications, and can be used for many applications, including:
- Upgrading legacy PCI-based cards while maintaining backwards compatibility
- Adding a PCIe device to an embedded host platform that only supports PCI
- Adding multiple PCI devices to embedded host platforms that only support PCIe
The 88SB2211 is also compatible with Marvell TopDog™ 802.11n PCIe modules and Marvell Yukon® PCIe Gigabit Ethernet NICs.
The Marvell® 88SB2211 X1 PCI Express to 32-bit PCI bridge connects legacy PCI parallel bus devices to the new, advanced serial PCI Express interface. The 88SB2211 is a PCI Express-to-PCI forward and reverse bridge. It is fully compliant with the PCI-SIG PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge Specification.
