Do you need a robust way to operate your application at a supply voltage below 2V?

Maxim’s new family of dual, 256-tap digital potentiometers can operate down to an ultra-low 1.7V supply!  If you’re shipping portable battery applications, the ability to operate at a lower supply voltage helps maximize your power consumption and extends your battery life by up to 30%.  You will also get enhanced protection against brownout conditions.

The MAX5391 is in a small, 9mm x 9mm TQFN footprint and has < 1µA quiescent supply, which saves board space and power.  The family operates over a -40°C to 125°C temperature range and comes in your choice of end-to-end resistance (10KΩ, 50KΩ, 100KΩ) and interface options (I2C or SPI).  The small package size, low supply voltage, low supply current, and automotive temperature range of the MAX531-MAX5393 make the devices uniquely suitable for your portable consumer, battery-backup industrial and automotive applications.
