The ARROW 2488 is the industry’s highest capacity SoC for SONET/SDH platforms. It integrates field-proven, comprehensively featured SONET/SDH framers, high-order (STS-1/AU-3) cross-connect, low-order (VT/TU) payload processor and cross-connect, and numerous serial expansion interfaces into one device. While feature optimized for OC-48/STM-16 compact MSPPs, the ARROW 2488 also delivers the scalability and flexibility required for larger chassis-based MSPPs and WDM platforms. The ARROW 2488 is the newest member of PMC-Sierra’s successful CHESS III portfolio of SONET/SDH products. Due to the heavy IP reuse from the CHESS family of products, the ARROW 2488 is guaranteed low-risk for ANSI, ITU, or ETSI-compliant synchronous networks.
