The new V850E/Ix3 family combines a high performance 32-bit MCU with dedicated peripherals for 3-phase motor control and a high level of digital and analog

The new devices feature high performance with advanced control functions for more precise motor control, as well as integration of formerly discrete components to help lower costs.

 

The new offering includes four 100-pin V850E/IG3 MCUs and two 80-pin V850E/IF3 MCUs.

 

Delivering on 86 MIPS at 64 MHz, both families include

either 128KB Flash memory with 8KB RAM or 256KB Flash with 12KB Ram.

Features

  • V850E1 core built in the latest 0.15um UX4 Flash process offering 86MIPS at 64MHz
  • Two powerful 16-bit accuracy 3-phase inverter timers with a 6-phase PWM output function capable of controlling two 3-phase motors simultaneously and independently
  • Fully integrated motor functions: dead timers, timer tuning, cycle setting, compare register re-writing, interrupt culling, A/D triggering, availability of 0% and 100% output and forced output stop
  • Up to 9 channels of additional 16-bit timers including 2 encoder timer channels
  • 2 x high-speed buffered 12-bit A/D's with simultaneous sample & hold plus 1 x 10-bit A/D
  • Up to 3 analog op-amps and 6 comparators embedded for motor signal conditioning and over- / under-voltage protection
  • DMA Controller & external memory bus (on larger devices)
  • Fully integrated safety and reset functions
