NEC Electronics introduces the first product out of a new series of IGBT/MOSFET gate drive optocouplers

The PS9552 consists of a GaAlAs LED at input side and a photo diode with signal processing circuit and power stage at output side.
It is a combination of a fast optocoupler - providing galvanic isolation - and an IGBT/MOSFET driver - supplying high output voltage and current.
The design provides high common mode transient immunity (CMR), high output current and high switching speed.
This optocoupler is dedicated for industrial and motorcontrol applications, eg. frequency converters, AC drives, brushless DC drives, industrial inverters, uninterruptable power supplies, induction heaters and many other applications.
It is suitable to drive IGBT modules for 1200V and 100A.
