Avnet Memec is offering functional substitutes based upon low-cost Gate Arrray ASIC technologies to the discontinued popular µPD7105x family from NEC Electronics and compatible 82C5x series devices from other suppliers.
The Avnet Memec RD71051(USART), RD71054 (Programmable Timer/Counter), RD71055 (Programmable Parallel Interface) and RD71059 (Programmable Interrupt Controller) devices come in RoHS compliant QFP packages and are direct replacement for the discontinued parts.
