Renesas Release Comprehensive Range of Fast SRAMs
Renesas is one of the leading suppliers for Fast SRAMs. The availability of different Fast SRAM devices makes them the ideal choice for networking and industry applications. The following SRAMs are available within the Renesas Portfolio.
QDRII/DDRII/QDRII+/DDRII+ SRAM
DDR II / II+ (Double Data Rate) SRAMs and QDR™ II / II+ (Quad Data Rate) SRAMs are the ideal memory devices for next generation networking and communications systems. These ultra-fast devices can support high bandwidth systems that require memories capable of very high operating frequencies combined with low latencies and full cycle utilization.
Key Features:
- Transfer two words of data per clock cycle (DDR II / II+)
- Transfer four words of data per clock cycle (QDR II / II+)
- Highest bandwidth solution (2.1Gbps (QDR) / 1.0Gbps (DDR) @ 533MHz)
- Multiple configurations available x9, x18, x36
- 36Mb and 72Mb density with roadmap to higher densities
- Available in burst of four and burst of two modes
- Low power 1.8V operation
- Industry standard BGA packaging
Asynchronous SRAM
For industrial and communication applications, 4Mb asynchronous SRAM isavailable, organized x4, x8, and x16. The device is offered in TSOP and SOJ, a power supply of 3.3V or 5V.
Key Features:
- Communication applications
- Industrial applications.
Network SRAM
The Network SRAM is a ZBT™ (Zero Bus Turnaround™ (ZBT®) *1) compatible, 18 Mb device within an industry standard package. The Network SRAM devices are supporting wide bus architectures (x36) and a fast address access time (167MHz up to 200MHz). Renesas is offering the devices with a 100-pin TQFP. A power supply voltage is 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V.
Key Features:
- 18Mbit synchronous SRAM
- ZBT compatible - 100% effective utilization of the data bus is possible by the double late write and pipeline read operation
- The word organization is 512k word x 36-bit
