New USB-based RF Evaluation Tools

Semtech has released a new set of evaluation tools for their newest members of the RF devices family. Notably for the SX1211, SX1210, SX1212 and SX1231 single chip transceivers, and the SX1230 Transmitter.
There are several flavours of evaluation kits available. The simplest version is a single USB dongle with the respective RF device and a USB to serial convertor on board, including a ceramic PCB antenna. A more complete kit above that is packaged as a set of USB dongles, enabling RF testing. If it concerns a transmit- or receive-only device, the pairing receiver, transmitter or transceiver board is bundled in the kit, instead of an identical board.
Lastly, a single evaluation module is available, containing the RF device, it’s peripherals, the antenna connection and a (data) connector on the PCB. The processing part is not included on the module, leaving the flexibility to use any MCU or host system as the data processing part. Also the modules come with an antenna in the kit.
