QuickSense™ Touchless Slider Evaluation Kit

Silicon Labs has introduced the Si1120 Infrared Slider Demo, a patent-pending infrared touchless slider evaluation kit. This innovative touchless slider boasts excellent range, visible LED tracking, and both swipe and set gesture recognition. The USB powered demonstration is controlled by an ultra-low power Silicon Labs C8051F900 MCU and incorporates an Si1120 sensor, two infrared LEDs and eight visible LEDs. The QuickSense Studio development environment supports this unique demonstration board with a powerful performance analysis tool that enables real-time reflectivity monitoring.

- High-performance single-pulse infrared proximity detector with a sensing range of up to 50 cm
- Ambient light sensor
- PWM output for direction MCU connection
- Flexible optical measurement modes
- 3 proximity ranges to maximize battery life
- 3 dc ambient light sensing ranges for better low light resolution
- Low-noise ambient cancelling circuit allows maximum sensitivity with 8–12 bit resolution
- Minimum reflectance sensitivity <1 μW/cm2
- High EMI immunity without shielded packaging
- Power supply: 2.2–3.7 V
- Operating temperature range: –40 to +85 °C
