TCEDA3 - TouchStrip Fingerprint Authentication Module

TCEDA3 - a trusted biometric security subsystem designers can use to embed advanced, highly secure fingerprint acquisition and verification technologies within their products

The TouchStrip Fingerprint Authentication Module is a complete biometric subsystem that enables security for PCs.

The module includes a silicon sensor which captures 3-D images of fingerprints used for authentication, senses finger liveliness to counter hacking attempts, and tracks movement to act as a navigation device.

The module also includes a custom ASIC that performs biometric authentication functions - image processing as well as template extraction, storage, and matching - securely within hardware.

The sensor and companion chip are mounted on a PCB utilizing UPEK's market-tested reference design to form a complete subsystem that can be integrated easily into any application environment (embedded system or PC system) using a simple API function set.

The TCEDA3 fingerprint module is an all-in-one solution capable of performing all the necessary functions to capture, enroll and match fingerprints securely.

The system is fully calibrated and ready for field deployment with all required external circuitry. With key features such as low power consumption and ultra small size, TouchStrip Sensor chipset is an ideal solution for embedded applications such as portable Computers, secure peripherals, and handheld devices.
