Avnet Memec are proud to announce the launch of two new WLAN devices from leading RF house, Wi2Wi. Both devices are based on the Marvell WLAN 802.11 chipset, and are supplied by Wi2Wi in a unique SIP package (System-in-Package).

W2SW0001
The W2SW0001 System-in-Package (SiP) is a complete IEEE 802.11b/g radio solution.  Unlike a typical module, the W2SW0001 includes all radio components, clocking and regulation for a complete WLAN radio subsystem.  Integration of the W2SW0001 is a simple process of connecting our SiP to your product's interfaces, antenna port and single 3.3vdc power supply.  All necessary firmware and drivers are included.

W2CBW003
The W2CBW003 System-in-Package (SiP) is a complete IEEE 802.11b/g +Bluetooth™ radio solution.  Unlike a typical module, the W2CBW003 includes all radio components, clocking and regulation for a complete WLAN radio subsystem. Also included in our solution is Wi2Wi's coexistence solution for simultaneous operation of Wi-Fi™ and Bluetooth™ Radios.  By selecting the W2CBW003, a developer can significantly reduce their development costs and the technical risks associated with coexistence.  All necessary firmware and drivers are included. 

Both are based upon Marvell's industry leading 88W8686, the small, compact, low power design is targeted specifically for the developers of portable electronics such as MP3/MP4 players, PDAs and Smart Phones.  The W2SW0001 features one of the smallest footprints in the industry and provides the interfaces commonly required by handheld/portable devices.  The W2SW0001 gives developers a quicker time to market, and lower cost to integrate WiFi™ functionality into their products.
