MPU
The microprocessor (MPU) is used in personal computers or other general purpose applications and incorporates the functions of a computer's central processing unit (CPU) on a single integrated circuit, or at most a few integrated circuits. It is a multi-purpose, programmable device that accepts digital data as input, processes it according to instructions stored in its memory, and provides results as output. Avnet Memec offer high performance MPUs from suppliers such as Marvell with ARM-Based Processors, AppliedMicro with PowerPC processors and Renesas with their Proprietary SuperH processing Core.
