Company Overview
Energy Micro is a global provider of energy friendly microcontrollers and RF transceivers based on the ARM® Cortex™ processor core. Consuming a quarter of the energy of competing products, the company’s ultra low power EFM32 Gecko MCUs and EFR4 Draco radios target energy sensitive applications, including smart metering, building automation, security systems and portable heath and fitness equipment. The products are supported by Energy Micro’s Simplicity Studio, an easy-to-use software console helping to reduce embedded system development times by a half.

...the world's most energy friendly microcontrollers and radios
The EFM®32 Gecko microcontrollers is a family of low energy MCUs with 4 times lower power consumption than any other 8, 16, or 32-bit microcontroller. EFM32 MCUs have ultra low power consumption of 160 µA/MHz while running applications from Flash memory and a Shutoff mode with only 20 nA current consumption. The EFM32 microcontrollers are based on the ultra-efficient, industry standard ARM® Cortex™-M3 architecture. Without CPU intervention the low power peripherals can react and respond to other peripherals, external, or internal triggers. This results in fast execution, low latency, and the longest operation time for any battery operated applications.
The EFM32 Gecko family scales from 4KB to 1024KB Flash and offer features like USB and TFT display drivers. The unique Low Energy Sensor (LESENSE) interface supports all types of sensors including resistive, capacitive and inductive and autonomous sensor data processing of up to 16 sensor while staying in deep sleep mode (~1µA).
The new Zero Gecko family is an ARM® Cortex™-M0 based MCU with low power Gecko architecture starting at USD0,60 (per 100Kpcs). Latest addition to Energy Micro´s portfolio includes the Energy Friendly Radio series named “Draco”, an RF family of transceiver and SoC products with 4 times lower power consumption.
