As the world leader in Hall-Effect Sensor ICs, Allegro offers a broad line of silicon-based products that serve many high-end applications within automotive and industrial electronics. Allegro's sensor ICs are based on Hall-effect technology, which allows contactless sensing devoid of mechanical wear, sensing either an external magnet or a ferrous object. Specifically, Hall-effect sensor ICs are used for highly accurate gear-tooth sensing, direction detection, linear sensing, speed sensing, position sensing and contactless switching.
